1979
Rafael E. Suarez-Rivas of the Miami City Attorney’s Office addressed Miami Beach High students on Ethical Governance Day, sponsored by the Miami-Dade Commission on Ethics.

1990
Frank Ledee has been appointed to the 11th Circuit State Attorney’s Office as an Assistant State Attorney. Ledee fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge John Contini.

Judge Elizabeth Metzger was a panelist at the Palm Beach County Bar Association open forum on ethics and professionalism. The highlight can be found at Palm Beach County Bar Association Bulletin on page 27.

1995
Donna Greenspoon Solomon has published an article titled Attribution Case Law Update in the November 2018 issue of the Palm Beach Bar Association Bar Bulletin. The article can be found at Palm Beach County Bar Association Bulletin on page 7.

1998
Patrick W. Krechowski has joined Jimerson & Cobb in Jacksonville. As a partner, Krechowski heads the commercial real estate and environmental and land use law practice groups. Krechowski is Board Certified in City, County & Local Government Law by The Florida Bar.

Michael Rieldhammer has been recertified in Workers’ Compensation by the Florida Bar, a designation assigned to fewer than 1% of its members. Riedhammer is a partner at Haliczer, Pettis & Schwamm and focuses his practice in the area of workers’ compensation, personal injury and insurance litigation.

2002
Jami Gursky of Cole, Scott & Kissane has been named partner.

Lori Lewellen has been sworn in as a new commissioner with Dania Beach. Lewellen got involved in politics in 2014 and has chaired the city’s Planning and Zoning Board for the last two years.

2004
Vegina “Gina” Hawkins has been appointed to the 17th Circuit Court as an Assistant State Attorney. Hawkins fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Michael L. Gates.

2006
Clarissa Rodriguez has published an article titled Soft Kills are Hard in the November 2018 issue of the Dade County Bar Association Bulletin. The article can be found at Dade County Bar Association Bulletin on page 7.

2007
Carolina Sznajderman Sheir has joined Eisinger, Brown, Lewis, Frankel & Chaiet in Hollywood focusing on real estate, community association, and commercial litigation and developer representation.

2008
Jennifer M. Chapkin has opened Chapkin Law in Boca Raton focusing on commercial and real estate litigation, community association law, and appeals.

Alen Hsu has joined Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman as of counsel in Boca Raton focusing on real estate, employment, business, and general commercial matters.

2011
Janice Rustin has joined Lewis, Longman & Walker in West Palm Beach focusing on public pension, local government and land use law. Rustin will be working closely with local officials and will be assisting in restructuring retiree benefit programs.

2012
Meryl H. Hendrix has joined Kubicki Draper in West Palm Beach focusing on handling automobile, insurance coverage, hospitality, and first-party property defense matters.

Nikeisha S.W. Pryor of Haliczer, Pettis & Schwamm in Ft. Lauderdale has been elected to the executive board of the Caribbean Bar Association.

Sim J. Singh was interviewed and quoted in the November 21, 2018 NBC News article "Hate crimes spike in 2017. Community advocates think there's even more." Singh is senior manager of policy and advocacy at The Sikh Coalition, a nonprofit advocacy group.

2016
Dan Daley has been elected as the Coral Springs City Commissioner for this third term. At the age of 22, Daley was the youngest elected official in the City of Coral Springs. In 2014, he was elected unopposed and now during his third term, Daley is the most senior commissioner on the commission.
