2022 Berger Entrepreneur Bootcamp
The Shepard Broad College of Law and the Sharon and Mitchell W. Berger Entrepreneur Law Clinic proudly present the 2022 Berger Entrepreneur Bootcamp: Innovating Successfully – Making it Happen! Building on the success of the prior two bootcamps in 2018 and 2019, each with over 200 in-person and online participants, the program will immerse entrepreneurs in the skills and disciplines needed to successfully launch and grow a start-up business.
The 2022 Bootcamp will feature a faculty of over 20 diverse presenters from NSU's Shepard Broad College of Law, NSU's H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship, start-up founders, and other experienced professionals and participants in South Florida’s start-up ecosystem. This two-day workshop is open to ALL NSU students, faculty, staff, and the general public. It will also be simulcast and recorded for those who want to attend the program online.

Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 8:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Lunch can be purchased for $20 per day.
In-person event is limited to 100 attendees.

The Bootcamp program and VIP Reception will be held at the Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation, which is located on the fifth floor of NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library at 3100 Ray Ferrero Jr. Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33314. Parking is available in the NSU Parking Garage and is ADA compliant.

Topics for 2022 will focus on the essential steps for developing new products and companies, including:
- Creating an environment for innovation success
- Ideation, incubation, acceleration, and post-acceleration
- Available public and private resources and initiatives to promote innovation success and economic development in Broward County and South Florida
- Legal planning for start-ups, including corporate structure, governance, and hiring
- Business planning for company launches, financings, and exit transactions
- Panel discussion focusing on challenges facing start-ups in underserved communities
- Intellectual property protection fundamentals, including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyright, publicity, and other rights
- Panel discussion among successful founders providing insights into the practical challenges they’ve faced and lessons they’ve learned
