Jennifer Gordon joined Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law as the Director of Public Interest Programs. Jennifer administers public interest programs including the mandatory service requirement, the Van Horn Law Group Pro Bono Honor Program, Public Interest Law Day, NSU Law Summer Fellowships, and other public interest programs. Jennifer also provides counseling to students and alumni on document structure and content, interviewing techniques, mock and informational interviews, networking, and job search strategies particular to the public sector. She is also co-advisor to the Public Interest Law Society and assists students with the Public Interest Law Society’s Annual Auction to raise money for law student summer fellowships. Beyond her role with the public interest programs, Jennifer teaches NSU undergraduates and Master of Law students in a wide array of subjects, as well as serves as a Bar Coach for recent graduates taking the state issued licensing exam. Prior to joining Shepard Broad College of Law, Jennifer was the Director of Pro Bono & Public Interest Career Counselor at St. Thomas University School of Law.

In addition to her professional roles, Jennifer is an active member of the community serving on the Executive Counsel of The Public Interest Law Section of The Florida Bar, a member of the Florida Pro Bono Coordinators Association, and a member of the National Association of Pro Bono Professionals. Jennifer is also a member of the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale and served on the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Education Advisory Board.

Jennifer graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Art degree in English from Florida State University and with her Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University School of Law. Prior to law school, Jennifer studied abroad in Valencia, Spain and volunteered in Tanzania. In law school, Jennifer served as the Managing Editor of the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review and the Susan J. Ferrell Intercultural Human Rights Moot Court Competition Coordinator. Jennifer was a legal intern in various public interest organizations, received the 3rd Best Memorial for the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, and was the recipient of the Book Award in Advanced Legal Writing. Jennifer is licensed to practice in Florida.
