1985

Jay Freireich opened Freireich L.L.C. in Florham Park, New Jersey. Freireich focuses on tax, estate planning.

1986

Robert Levine is the executive director of The Legal Group, Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Levine focuses on recruitment and placement of partner, shareholder and lateral hires in the legal and corporate communities.

1989

Laurie Hannan Anton was admitted to the Tennessee Bar and recently was sworn into the Federal Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.

1994

Robert C. Weill has joined GrayRobinson as of counsel in Fort Lauderdale concentrating on civil appeals before federal and state courts and provides litigation support to fellow firm trial attorneys.

The Honorable Ivonne Cuesta, was a panelist in celebration of International Education Month at Miami-Dade College School of Business. Judge Cuesta led a panel, Your Practice, presented by Dade County Bar Association Solo and Small Firm Committee in March 2017. Also on the panel was Jennifer Diaz JD 2006.

Elizabeth Ricci with Rambana & Ricci, P.L.L.C. presented “Immigration in Trump’s America” at Grove City College Pre-Law program in Grove City, PA.

2002

Ingrid Suarez Osborn, co-wrote Gender Bias Across Professions, which was published in the Florida Association for Women Lawyers Journal, Fall/Winter 2016 edition, page 19. Suarez Osborn is with the US Department of Housing & Urban Development.

2003

Rebecca Bratter, has been promoted to deputy managing shareholder of Greenspoon Marder, where she will focus on firm administration and operations, as well as firm strategy and growth.

Jill Weiss, the new Board President of Susan G. Komen South Florida, published an article Moving on Up on the Florida Weekly-Palm Beach and West Palm Beach.

2004

Jeffrey L. Baer became a partner with Goldstein Law Group in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He concentrates on insurance defense and the prosecution of insurance fraud cases, including auto and property insurance fraud.

Bianca Diener has joined ATD Mediation as a certified mediator.

Alison Smith, of Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman was re-elected to the Broward County Bar Association Board of Directors.

2006

Jason B. Blank is the vice president of the Broward Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

2009

Ethan F. Abramowitz, Esq., has been selected to the 2017 Pennsylvania Rising Stars list. Mr. Abramowitz represents disabled professionals and executives in individual and long-term disability insurance claims, ERISA, breach of contract, and insurance bad faith cases.

Marcus Susen has become a named partner with Ft. Lauderdale based Koch Parafinczuk & Wolf, which has rebranded as “Koch Parafinczuk Wolf Susen (KPWS)”. Susen focuses on products liability, premises liability, auto accidents, breach of contract, and civil theft.

2010

Rudy Ayala will be the 2017-2018 Immediate Past President with the Broward County Hispanic Bar Association Board of Directors.

Thomas P. Fabricio, in Miami, FL joined the Marymount Manhattan College’s English and World Literatures Advisory Board.

David Miller has joined Palm Beach Gardens law firm of Mathison Whittles.

Dena Sacharow has been promoted to Senior Associate of Keller Landsberg PA.

Christian Savio, was appointed the 2017-2018 Rules & Compliance Officer for the Broward County Hispanic Bar Association Board of Directors.

2011

Valerie B. Barnhart and Jessica M. Marra, have been elected to the Broward County Bar Association’s Board of Directors.

2012

Adriana Barba’s, firm Vázquez & Barbar International Legal Consultants, where she is the founding managing partner, was selected by Diario Expansión financial newspaper as one of the best start up law firms in Spain and the best in Catalonia, Spain of those established after 2011.

2013

Brett M. Wishna, has joined Kubicki Draper in Ft. Lauderdale focusing on PIP, SIU, automobile, and workers’ compensation matters.

George J. Taylor, a litigation and transactional attorney with Brinkley Morgan, was honored at the American Cancer Society of Broward’s 2017 Celebration Gala in April 2017 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Kit Van Pelt of Linda Suzzanne Griffin, P.A., participated in a Young Lawyer Professionalism Panel at the Practicing with Professionalism Spring 2017 presentation in St. Petersburg, FL.

Michelle Suarez published an article titled My Adventure of Hot Yoga and Why I recommend it in the May 2017 issue of the Broward County Bar Association Barrister Magazine.

2014

Brandon Weitzman, in Palm Beach County, has joined Kelley Kronenberg. His practice focuses on general liability, first party property insurance defense, commercial litigation and criminal defense.

Ena Valera-Teano was appointed a Director with the 2017-2018 Broward County Hispanic Bar Association Board of Directors.

2015

Renata Castro, was appointed a Director with the 2017-2018 Broward County Hispanic Bar Association Board of Directors.

2016

Anthony Niedwiecki, was named Dean of Golden Gate University School of Law. Dean Niedwiecki was an associate professor at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law.
