Juliette E. Lippman takes office as President of the Florida Bar Foundation effective July 1, 2018. Lippman is a partner with Birnbaum, Lippman & Gregoire, PLLC. Lippman is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator.

1997

Zelica Quigley, has been selected as a member of The Florida Bar Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Florida Bar. Quigley is of counsel at Broad and Cassel with her practice focusing on residential and commercial real estate transactions.

2002

Matthew Konecky, of the Law Office of Matthew Konecky, P.A. in Palm Beach Gardens, presented a panel discussion to Keiser University’s criminal justice students about DUI cases with a former Palm Beach Sheriff Office DUI investigator.

Jason L. Steinman has joined Assouline & Berlowe P.A. in Fort Lauderdale. Jason handles trusts and estates, probate and guardianship matters, in addition to probate and business litigation.

2004

Thomas Mullin, with Nason Yeager Gerson White & Lioce in Palm Beach County, was elected to the board of directors of the Florida Association of Environmental Professionals.

2008

David J. DePiano has been named a partner with Shapiro, Blasi, Wasserman & Hermann in Boca Raton. DePiano is experienced in both litigation and real estate transactional work.

2010

Valerie Barnhart, has been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star. Barnhart, a partner in the Davie-based firm of Perera Barnhart, is also chair of the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Technology Committee and hosts the Technology Roadshows across the state. Barnhart received the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Kathy Bishop Most Distinguished Board Member Award. Barnhart’s practice focuses on business litigation, technology transactions, and business/corporate.

2011

Jorge Freddy Perera has been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star. Perera, a partner in the Davie-based firm of Perera Barnhart, focuses his practice on employment and labor law.

Jason M. Vanslette, a partner with Kelley Kronenberg, has been rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell®. Vanslette works in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office and focuses his practice on Mortgage Foreclosure Litigation and assisting banks and other financial service providers with regulatory, enforcement, transactional and litigation matters.

Christie M. Walker was elected as a shareholder with Fowler White and Burnett Miami, FL office in the maritime practice group. Walker focuses her practice on all aspects of admiralty law.

2013

Andrew V. Cobbe has joined The Soto Law Group in Fort Lauderdale as an associate focusing on business and construction law.

2016

Carlos H. Arce was named partner with Lubel Rosen in Fort Lauderdale, FL Arce focuses his practice on health law, HIPAA compliance, privacy and data breach, personal injury protection and medical malpractice defense.

Vijay Choksi, published the chapter Legal Aspects of Cannabis in CANNABIS: a Clinician’s Guide (2018), edited by Betty Wedman-St. Louis.

2017

Kristine DeSoiza has joined the Fort Lauderdale office of Fowler White Burnett as an associate in the insurance practice group. DeSoiza focuses her practice on insurance coverage disputes, construction defect claims, professional liability claims, commercial general liability, and commercial litigation.
