Laura Arcaro practices exclusively in the area of family law and is the founder of Arcaro Law Group, PA, a Fort Lauderdale-based family law firm focused on high-conflict, complex, and high-net-worth divorce, child custody, and international family law matters. Ms. Arcaro earned her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from NSU Shepard Broad Law Center, graduating second in her class.  She is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and trained in collaborative family law practice. She is admitted to the Florida Bar, the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit.

Ms. Arcaro’s practice includes a special focus on international child abduction cases under the Hague Abduction Convention. She has successfully represented numerous left-behind parents seeking the return of children wrongfully retained in the United States and is recognized for her strategic litigation and policy insight in this highly specialized area.

In addition to her courtroom advocacy, Ms. Arcaro frequently serves as a Guardian ad Litem in contested custody cases, where her background in child advocacy and forensic analysis has earned her judicial appointments in dozens of cases throughout Florida. She is also known for her sharp financial acumen, holding a Master's degree in Health Administration with a focus on financial management—skills she routinely applies to business valuation, asset tracing, equitable distribution, alimony, and child support determinations. She also mediates family law cases and is known for her thoughtful and practical approach to resolving disputes.

At Shepard Broad College of Law, Ms. Arcaro is committed to integrating legal proficiency with practical insight, ethical and professional advocacy, client counseling, and strategic thinking, offering students a hands-on understanding of the intersection between legal theory and the realities of family litigation.
