Robert Delgado, Esq. is Professor of Practice in the Academic Success and Professionalism (ASP) Program at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law. He brings more than a decade of diverse legal experience to his work with students, drawing on an extensive background that includes bankruptcy law, federal practice, real estate, estate planning, first-party insurance, and civil litigation.
Before joining NSU Law, he served as Attorney Advisor with the U.S. Small Business Administration, and practiced extensively in both litigation and transactional roles. His professional experience includes trial advocacy, contract drafting and negotiation, commercial and residential real estate, estate planning, lender representation, attorney training, and comprehensive client counseling across a wide range of complex legal matters. He is admitted to practice in Florida and multiple federal districts.
Professor Delgado earned his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law. He completed the Transactional Law and Skills Certificate from the Emory Center for Transactional Law and Practice. While at Emory, he served as managing editor for the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal, was Career Developments Advisor and an active member of the Latin American Law Students Association, and was an active member of the Emory Public Interest Committee and Georgia Hispanic Bar Association. He graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Master of Science in Psychology and Anthropology.
