Gain an Edge in Highly Competitive Fields Related to Law
Legal skills training from Nova Southeastern University’s B.S. in Law program gives you the competitive edge to pursue your passion and start your career in law and law related fields. And numerous scholarship opportunities make funding your dream even easier.
Earn real-world experience and an understanding of the law and our legal system with a Bachelor of Science in Law from NSU and begin a successful career in a wide range of professions that interact with the law and lawyers. Our curriculum covers best practices and includes three concentrations: paralegal studies; law, science, and technology; and health law. Students in these concentrations will be prepared for careers as paralegals, compliance officers, human resource professionals, lobbyists, legal correspondents, or for positions in state and federal government.
The paralegal concentration will allow you to build a paralegal portfolio you can use to showcase your work to prospective employers. This program trains paralegals who provide lawyers with support to complete legal tasks and is not a program for training lawyers or legal administrators. Paralegals are nonlawyers and are prohibited from the unauthorized practice of law.
The concentration in law, science, and technology provides students with an understanding of intellectual property law—an area of law critical in a wide range of industries, from technology to entertainment. The health law concentration prepares students for positions in the health care industry, where law plays an important role. Bachelor's in Law students in these concentrations will be well placed in these exciting, increasingly in-demand, and highly competitive fields that interact with the law.
